RGH/JTAG or LT+3.0 - Difference
LT+3.0
LT + (Lite Touch) is a hacked firmware DVD rom for the Xbox console, it enables the console to play pirated games which you burn on a DVD+DL. With this console you can access live so you can play pirated games in multiplayer mode over LIVE service.
Note: There are ban waves and if you are not carful you can get banned | you have to buy live | Region Lock
To burn games you have to have a special DVD ROM
,when you have the right drive you need to put games trough ABGX
Note: ABGX is so you can be live-safe, don't play any games that are not officially released
DLC (Downloadable Content) is an additional game content (extra levels, maps, weapons, etc..) and the console that has LT + 3.0 you need to pay for them
XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) are mini-games, very addictive, also you have to pay
JTAG/RGH
Old name for JTAG now known as RGH (Reset Glitch Hack) this type of hack use an extra chip. With this hack you don't have to burn any more games, there is no region lock (so you can play NTSC-u , PAL or NTSC-J). You can install a HDD and add as many games as you want. There are two ways of transferring game: 1. With a flash drive 2. Wtih LAN (FTP)
DLC (Downloadable Content) is free, you just add them to your HDD and you are ready to go
XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) also free just download, add to your HDD and play.
How it works:
JTAG:
JTAG is an Xbox that utilizes the SMC exploit. his exploit causes a re-boot into the 4532 kernel. This kernel was made famous by the KK exploit (King Kong), where a bug in the hypervisor was utilized to run unsigned code. The SMC exploit is a faster version of the KK exploit (as in, it boots faster), and allows for the running of unsigned code.
RGH:
RGH work by sending a tiny reset pulse to the processor while it is slowed down does not reset it but instead changes the way the code runs, it seems it's very efficient at making bootloaders memcmp functions always return. So you can put a bootloader that would fail hash check in NAND, glitch the previous one and that bootloader will run, allowing almost any code to run.
Requirements
JTAG:
Dashboard lower than 7379 (And even then it's iffy)
The correct CB version (Circuit Board version, can only be found by dumping the NAND)
Slim 360's CANNOT by JTAG'd
RGH:
As far as I know all consoles are compatible. Even Trinity board is RGH-able
Difference
So the main difference is in the boot time. JTAG boot times are more stable where as RGH can take 5 minutes one boot then 2 seconds the next
Also note that JTAG-able consoles are really hard to find.
One of the favorite and most popular chips are CoolRunner (of Team Xecuter ), Matrix Glitcher (the creators of the Matrix chip for PS2 ) and the Chinese version RGH (short for Reset Glitch Hack ).
