I looked through the tutorials and I didn't find anything conclusive. My GF has a now JTAGed (or RGHed, I really don't see the difference for now) X360 Slim. The guy who modded it put a couple of games on the HDD, and told me that I could do it myself so long as I have the isos on my computer, which I fortunately do. The thing is, I don't know how to directly plug the HDD to the computer. Is there a way to do it that doesn't require buying any specific cable ? If not, can I transfer the games from a USB drive to the X360 directly like with a flashed L.T 3.0 Xbox ?
I don't have a JTAGed Xbox myself so I'm not familiar at all with it. Any help will be much appreciated.
you can use a usb drive to transfer games to your xbox's HDD or an external HDD formatted with FAT32 file system
Correct. A larger external HDD will also do the trick, and you can store much more games on it.
Make sure you have the extracted files from the ISO. Those are needed to play the games on a Jtag/RGH. There is a tutorial on this in the tutorial section of the forum.
Another method to make a connection from your PC to your Jtag/RGH is via FTP. For this method, you'll need a crossover ethernet cable and a software package like FileZilla.

Your gf's console is RGH and not JTAG. JTAG is the older chip method which is now very rare and was used on the phat consoles. Since the guy who modded the console already put two games inside the HDD, I assume that the HDD is 250Gb (at least). 250Gb are enough to store many games.
You'll need the following tools to transfer the game isos into the console:
a. A USB FAT32 formatted (at least 16Gb of storage). The higher Gbs the better!
b. ISO2GOD (free download via internet, so, google it) With ISO2GOD you'll be able to convert the isos you already have into a RGH-compatible file form. There are lots of tutorials on the internet and it is a very easy to use program.
c. After converting your iso (into a folder named after digits and letters), you copy it inside the USB and then you connect the USB to the XBOX.
d. The you go to the blade called "File Manager". There are two columns (left and right) showing the same things: HDD, USB0 etc. You go to the left column and highlight the USB0 folder. Press A to open it. You'll see the game's folder you already created with ISO2GOD. Stay there. Then go to the right column and highlight the HDD. Press A, choose Content, press A, choose 0000000000000000 and press A. You have now opened the Content folder of your games. Now...you go to the left column again and highlight the game's folder. Press and hold the RB button! You'll see some "arrows" on the bottom of your screen ointing to the right. Holding the RB button you press the relative button for COPY (see below which one is it). Then you leave the RB button and the game is starting to transfer into your HDD.
e. When finished, press the XBOX button (the one in the middle), choose XBOX Home....let the FSD run once more and find the game on one of your FSD's folders: XBOX GAMES, XBOX LIVE.
Note: Apart from all of the above "blah blah", the whole procedure is VERY easy!

Thanks a lot guys ! I've managed to load up a good bunch of games ! I created iso files from already burnt games that I own. Then I converted them to Game On Demand. It's interesting to note that it even worked with truncated burns (Bioshock Infinite and Skyrim), and that I didn't need to fully restore the iso in order to get a functional GoD Rip.

Anyway, thanks a lot !
Yes it works with truncated games. I remember having problems with Binary Domain (on a truncated disc) and when I converted it to G.O.D. it worked like charm (and I finished it). Anytime man!

for these RGH or Jtagged Consoles, are you able to play online? I use to have the original black xbox with the green big x in the middle Jtagged. I think that's what its called.. where I was able to play a lot of arcade games on there, super nes, nes, genesis, and also I was able to copy any game onto my HDD. I would just rent a game, and id install it onto the HDD. I don't know if you can do that now or not.

Short answers: no online possible with jtag/rgh and a jtag/rgh for 360 can also copy your retail disc games to a HDD.
