So here is a guide how to get DLC to work for your JTAG/RGH
Thing you need:
XM360 (v2.0d - latest version)
https://www.box.com/s/dimba5znajqgqnt41qsz
Horizon
http://xboxpirate.eu/forums/topic/520-horizon-25101/
What is XM360?
It allows you to unlock XBLA and DLC.
It allows you to sort XBLA by title, release date, rating, etc.
It allows you to launch XBLA titles
It allows you to "backup" TUs to a separate directory that isn't subject to wiping by the 360.
It allows you to delete content.
Things to know before doing this:
There are some things you have to know before doing any transferring to your xbox, that is the file structure.
Content Location:
/partition3/content/0000000000000000/<TITLEID>/<OFFERID>/
Save Location:
/partition3/content/<PROFILEID>/<TITLEID>/<OFFERID>/
OFFERID's
00000002 - Extra Content
000B0000 - Title Updates
There are more offerid's like for the themes, music, gamepic but there are important for now
Installing DLC:
So there are multiple ways to do this:
FTP
Flash drive
Flash drive (xbox formatted)
If you don't have an FTP set-up for you xbox doing it with a Flash drive is really simple
Flash drive
Thing you need:
Flash drive (size isn't important)
File menager on your xbox (ethier FSD File menager or XeX Menu)
DLC
1. Download your DLC, when you extract it (if needed) you will get a file with a lot of digits
Example:
6F6992766050D818245ADD408031E280FB5F4E634D
2. So put this file on your USB drive and plug-in your USB drive into your console
3. Open you file manager, navigate to your USB drive
4. Copy that big file
5. Now go to
HDD:\Content\0000000000000000\<GAME TITLE ID FOLDER>
If you don't know your Game Title Id go the the ABGX database
http://abgx360.net/verified.php
If you don't have 00000002 in there make one (as we said before 00000002 folder is for Extra Content)
6. Put the file in the 00000002 folder
Your final folder structure should look like this
HDD:\Content\0000000000000000\<GAME TITLE ID FOLDER>\00000002\<DLC FILE HERE>
Flash drive xbox formatted
Things you need:
USB drive (over 1gb)
DLC
1. Format your USB drive with Xbox
Quote
Plug a USB flash drive into a USB port on the front of your console
Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select System Settings
Select Storage or Memory
Select USB Storage Device
Select Configure Now and confirm that you want to erase all data on the USB flash drive.
2. Open your flash drive with Horizon
3. Drag & Drop the DLC file in the Horizon explorer (It will auto transfer it)
4. Go to your Xbox
5. Navigate to your System Setting > Storage > USB Storage Device > Games And Apps
6. Copy the DLC to your HDD
Problems:
So your DLC's are not working, then there are three main reasons why:
DLC is NOT unlocked
Incorrect or non-existent Title Update (aka TU)
Incorrect launch.ini setting within DashLaunch (I won't get into this for now)
Unlocking DLC's
Things you need:
USB drive (to transfer XM360)
XM360
1. Download XM360
2. Transfer it to your USB drive
3. Add it onto your Console as Homebrew
4. Launch XM360
5. Select 'Rescan All' - It will scan your console for DLC's, XBLA, Gamesaves and Title Updates
6. Now select 'Show DLC'
7. Finally 'Unlock DLC'
It will tell you that you unlocked your DLC's
Title Update
Most if not all DLC's need title updates, this is also useful for LiNK user.
If you have an internet connection and your console is connected you can Auto Update the title update
Auto update (internet)
1. Go to the Game Library
2. Press Y
3. Scroll down to Manage Title Updates
4. Click again Y to download and A to Activate
Manual Update:
If you manually update you have to download you title updates on your PC. I will look similar to this
TU_1A581V7_000000C000000.0000000000293
You should transfer it to your USB and it should be placed within the Cache folder located at the root of your HDD
