maybe the other burner you have is flashed or is compatible with burnermax payload tool so it can be on the working drives list not the recommended list

one way to find out is to try it with burnermax payload tool and a verbatim disc
I have TWO LiteOn iHAS 322 drives. This drive is on the RECOMMENDED drive list. Burner Max payload works. However, I've burnt through about 40 Verbatim MKM-003 made in Singapore discs, with various imgburn settings. ALL discs burn successfully, however NOT ONE of the XGD3 discs verifies past 49%. It always ends in a CRC error around the layer break mark. I've followed loads of tutorials, even C4EVA's and Lightning UK's (creator of imgburn). I can't get my XGD3 discs to verify past 49%. Same issue with imgburn, kprobe, installing to xbox360. CRC ERROR at layer break.
